Due to the prolonged dry weather and exceptionally hard pitches, the RFU has postponed the start of competitive community rugby across England to prioritise:
✅ Player welfare
✅ Competition integrity
✅ Club planning and preparation

What this means
* No RFU Men’s League matches (Regional 1 and below) before 21 September
* No RFU Women’s League matches below PWR level before 21 September
* Fixtures scheduled for 12 & 19 September will be rearranged
* Training and friendly matches may continue where conditions are safe and appropriate risk assessments are completed
Player welfare comes first.

We will share further updates on rearranged fixtures as soon as information becomes available.
