Friday under floodlights Teignmouth 2nd XV took on Paignton from the league above for a friendly. Teigns took the lead with an early try for Jack Hemingway, 5-0.
It wasn’t long before Paignton came back and took the lead with a converted try, 5-7.
Teign’s Joe Brookfield put Teigns back in the lead with their 2nd try, 10-7.
The lead was extended when Jack Hemingway scored his 2nd try of the match, 15-7.
Paignton received a yellow card and then went on to take the lead with 3 tries in a row taking the score to 15-26.
Jack Hemingway scored again giving him a hat trick and taking the score to 20-26.
The scoring continued both sides with Kai Clayton scoring a try, Tom Carr converting and Jake Everett scoring a try to give a final score of 32-47.
Player of the Match went to Jack Hemingway.

Saturday Teignmouth 1st XV took on visitors Penzance Pirates amateurs. Jordan Hellier opened the scoring to the day with a try following a great run by Alex Ford. 5-0.
Pirates were awarded a penalty and went for posts, 5-3.
A second try for was scored by Jordan Hellier and converted by Jack Mayne. 12-3.
Pirates took the lead after 2 consecutive tries, 12-17.
A hat trick was next for Jordan Hellier, converted by Jack Mayne, taking the half time score to 19-17.
Teigns crept forward with a penalty kicked for Jack Mayne, 22-17 before Pirates took the lead again with a converted try, 22-24.
Jason Jervis put Teigns back in the lead, which was followed by a try for Jack Bowen, converted by Jack Mayne. Win for Teignmouth with final score 34-24.
Player of the Match was awarded to Jordan Hellier.

Whilst the 1st XV played at Bitton the Colts took part in the Devon Cup Bowl Final and came away with a fantastic win of 36-29!
Player of the Match was awarded to Harrison Jelley.

The final match of the weekend was Sunday, Teignmouth Women V Sidmouth. Teignmouth had the honour to have the Women’s Rugby World Cup trophy visiting for the day as part of the RFU #LoveRugby girls’ event. This was joined by Maisy Allen, back row for Exeter Chief’s Women as Referee for the game.
Sidmouth are at the top of the league table so Teigns knew it would be a tough game. Sidmouth took the lead and by half time had scored 3 tries and a penalty kick giving them an 18-point lead, 0-18.
Teigns put the pressure on and took the score to 7-18 with a try from debut senior player Grace Scott, converted by Beth Wreford.
Sidmouth scored again to take their lead to 7-25.
However, Grace Scott sprinted to the line again scoring under the posts, which was converted by Rachel Price, 14-25.
Next came the hat trick for Grace Scott, 19-25.
With 1 minute left on the pitch the game restarted, despite the time Grace Scott sprinted to the line again giving a final score of 24-25. A win for Sidmouth.
Back of the Match was awarded to Grace Scott. Forward of the Match went to Jane Mclellan.
