Teignmouth 0 – 17 Ivybridge
Teignmouth Under 14’s lost their first game of the season and in the process will have learnt a very valuable lesson. Mental preparation and attitude are every bit as important as game plans and fitness.
Congratulations to Ivybridge Under 14’s who really wanted to win this game and with a very large side they stuck to their game and gave the young Teign’s a lesson on keeping possession and working through the phases.
Only 4 weeks ago Ivybridge were dispatched by 40 points and the Teign’s turned up this morning expecting this to just happen again. The Teign’s had a few players out sick but this was no excuse and the 15 players that took to the field today know themselves that they need to change their playing attitudes as a team or this poor performance WILL happen again. Today has proved useful IF the lesson is taken on board and we see a new hunger from a very talented bunch of young men.
We are all in this together and we will move on and keep striving to improve.
