With the First XV not playing last weekend, the spotlight fell on the Seconds as they continued their rollercoaster start to the season.

and came away with a well-deserved victory.

With both sides playing some fast rugby in the opening minutes, it was a surprise that the game remained scoreless until near the half-hour mark, when the Okes finally broke through a stubborn home defence to score an unconverted try.
Teignmouth fought back quickly and put the visitors under pressure for a while, but Okehampton were well-organised in defence, and having survived the storm they managed to break away just before half-time to double their lead.

Okehampton began the second half in determined fashion, and scored three converted tries in the first 20 minutes to put the result beyond doubt.

However, the Teigns would not lie down, and finally got themselves on the scoreboard as Man-of-the-Match Dan Aldworth charged through for his third try in two matches.

This was followed by a typical sniping run from scrum-half Stef Walker which he finished off by touching down under the posts to allow Callum Couch an easy conversion.

This Saturday the Seconds take the short trip to the Recreation Ground to play their Torquay Athletic counterparts, while the Firsts return to league action with a home match against Devonport Services. Both matches kick off at 2.30pm.
