shortly afterwards.
Then Couch really took control of proceedings, as he first ran in a try from the halfway line on 30 minutes, and then scored a second on half-time which he also managed to convert to give the Teigns a 15-3 lead at the break.
It didn’t take long for Couch to complete his hat-trick at the beginning of the second period, and thereafter he concentrated on his kicking duties as Aiden Ovens bagged a brace of his own. The first came from excellent lineout work from Simon Pearce which released the backs, and the second when Couch chipped through for Ovens to score under the posts. Couch converted both.
Tavy managed a couple of tries of their own as the game drew to a close, but there was never any danger of Couch’s heroics not resulting in anything other than a comprehensive victory for the Teigns.
