and Simon Pearce's son Benji running on the water bottles.
The visitors dominated throughout, and opened the scoring in the 20th minute with a try from Nathan Rendle. Although Totnes threatened briefly to get back into the match with a penalty awarded for offside, the Teigns soon opened up a clear lead with skipper Andy Webber scoring his second try of the season. This time Callum Couch was successful with the conversion, and Teignmouth went into the break leading 12-3.
Teignmouth thought they had increased their lead early in the second half when Couch stole the ball and ran in under the posts, but the referee deemed that he had done so illegally. However, four minutes later he was on the scoreboard with a legal score.
Totnes again came back into the game with a converted try of their own, before Webber broke free to set up Simon Pearce for his first try in seven years. Couch added the two points.
On a couple of occasions Teignmouth had got in trouble with the referee for back-chatting, and when they transgressed again in the last 10 minutes, they were marched back 10 minutes, enabling Totnes to score their second try. However, Webber was soon back in the action to score his second try of the match to give a final score of 29-15.
