Convincing away win at Okehampton for U10's

Teignmouth made their first trip to face Okehampton at North Tawton. They started well with an early try from Jude Baker-Hands on two minutes. Jude followed up with a second two minutes later with a trademark darting and jinking run through the oppositions defence. Finn Addiscott added a third following good support from Luke Cockram. Luca Barbot was involved for the fourth ripping the ball and setting Oliver Nicks away on the right wing to make it 0-20. Jude Baker-Hands earned his third of the half with a good lay off from Finn Addiscott, Teignmouth were attacking relentlessly but showed strength in defence with Thomas Walters using his strength to push the Teigns forward regularly. A good passing move resulted in another for Jude Baker-Hands, Oliver Nicks then made it 0-35 following a scrum in the Okehampton half. The first half finished with a second for Finn Addiscott to earn the away side a 0-40 lead at the break.

The second half began with an early breakaway try from the home side to pull one back and spoil the Teigns clean sheet. Teignmouth followed up with two more for Jude Baker-Hands. Finn Addiscott added a further score before Jude stole the ball in the Okehampton half and darted the length of the pitch to add Teignmouths twelth. Jack Parr made a strong run through the defence to add the next after a good passing move. The final action added two further tries for Teignmouth, one each for Finn Addiscott and Jude Baker-Hands to earn a convincing 5-75 win.

The second match started with some good early interchange resulting in an Oliver Nicks try. Oliver added a second after Jack Parr made ground into Okehampton territory. Luca Barbot made a last ditch tackle to save an Okehampton score, however after some good defending Okehampton did break through to make it 5-10. Tristan Green regained the advantage after more concerted Teign pressure. Teignmouth were now keeping possession well with Aiden Norbury pushing forward to gain territory up field. Oliver Nicks added a further after some good passing. Just before half time, Jack Parr then took an early lay off to power through the Oke defence and make it 5-25 at the break.

After the break Oliver Nicks added to his tally after good support from Oscar Kennedy. Luke Cockram then reached over to touch down after good interplay between Daniel Noble and Oliver Nicks. Finn Addiscott made a run from left to right avoiding the oppositions attention. Jude Baker-Hands added two more, one individual effort and a second involving Oscar Kennedy and Tristan Green. The final action saw Josh Couch score to earn a 5-60 victory.
