Beaten by the big boys again!

In a competitive match it was a few missed tackles that allowed Brixham's powerful runners to break through the Teignmouth defence.

The first half was very evenly matched, with Brixham opening the scoring from close range before Seth Boxall broke free for Teignmouth's first try of the season. This time he kept well away from the touchline that had spoilt his efforts the previous week.

In the second half Brixham used their larger forwards to good effect, driving towards and over the Teignmouth line on a couple of occasions, and also using the blind-side to good effect to score another from distance. Teignmouth scored a consolation try after a well timed break from Sam Harrion was halted just short of the try-line, but the ball was recycled for Noah Lambert to eventually force his way over under the posts.

Although the scoreline was comfortably in Brixham's favour, the shape of Teignmouth's play, and in particular the handling in the backs, amounted to another step forward for the team before this weekend's cup fixture against Plymstock.
